Privacy Policy

"Jonaki respects your family's privacy. We collect minimal data — an email address for newsletter subscribers, and a phone number only when you sign in to buy a course — use no tracking cookies, and our lesson files run entirely in your browser."

What we collect

Your email address, only if you choose to sign up for our newsletter — we use Buttondown to manage our mailings, a service chosen for its commitment to privacy and lack of intrusive tracking. And your phone number, only when you sign in to buy a course — sent as a one-time WhatsApp code, stored in hashed form (never in plain text), and used solely to confirm you and open your course.

No tracking cookies

We believe in a clean web. Jonaki does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics scripts that follow you across the internet. When you visit jonakikids.com, you are a guest, not a data point.

Children's privacy comes first

Our interactive lessons run entirely within your child's browser and do not collect any personal information from them directly. The only account activity on Jonaki is the parent's: a phone number, verified once by WhatsApp code, at the moment of purchase. We do not use that number for anything except signing you in and, if you ask, contacting you about your order.

You can ask us to delete or send you a copy of the data we hold on your phone number at any time — email hello@jonakikids.com with "delete my data" or "download my data" in the subject line, and we'll act on it within a reasonable time.

বাংলায় এই নোটিশ শীঘ্রই আসছে। (This notice will be available in Bengali soon — until then, please email us if you'd like it explained in Bangla.)

NO DATA FROM YOUR CHILD SIGN IN ONLY TO BUY

Works in any browser

No app to install. Jonaki runs in any modern browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge — even on a modest phone, with nothing to download or update.

Sharing data

We never sell or trade your data. To run the service we rely on a few providers, and each processes only what is strictly needed: WhatsApp (Meta) delivers your one-time login code, so it receives your number for that message; Buttondown sends the newsletter — only if you subscribe, and only your email; and when you buy, your payment is handled by our UPI payment provider. No one else receives your data, and we never use it to track or advertise to you.

Questions?

If you have any questions about our privacy practices or how our lessons work, please don't hesitate to reach out to our "friendly professor."
